OVERVIEW
Triosyn can be added to virtually any product or basic material. Applications include many industrial components where antimicrobial activity is desired to enhance or preserve product features or directly prevent the growth or spread of microorganisms.

DIFFERENTIATION
Triosyn is a solid-phase broad-range antimicrobial. As such, it can be incorporated into materials in a form such as beads, particulates, or as a powder. Other liquid antimicrobials may react with the substrate itself and cause a reduction in efficiency and an elevation in additive price. Triosyn can be added to the materials during different phases of the manufacturing process. Triosyn raw material has been shown to retain its antimicrobial efficacy for up to seven years.

APPLICATIONS
Building Materials
Many building materials are subjected to harsh environments of temperature and moisture which are conducive to fungal growth. Black mold has been an issue related to sick building syndrome. Testing with Triosyn against various molds shows that Triosyn is effective against prevention of the growth of these harmful molds. Triosyn can be easily applied or incorporated into basic building materials such as wood, fiberglass, carpeting, plaster board or masonry board.

Paints and Coatings
Triosyn has been shown to be effective against microorganisms when incorporated into various paints and stains. Besides preserving the item upon which Triosyn is coated it is evident that the antimicrobial effect can help to prevent the growth and the transmission of microorganisms from the coating’s surface. To extend this idea… one can imagine a surface that disinfects itself over time without having to be washed.
